Radio Shack's AA batteries rated 1st out of 32 national brands. I've used them for over 2 months and can say unequivocally that they last approximately 20% longer than the well known national brand that rated only in the middle 1/3 of the study results. And, the Radio Shack brand costs 50%less.

I have not used the yet because I have many AA that have an earlier use by date. They are packed in a sturdy point of sale container that can be placed vertically. Pretty cool to me. Oh yeah, the use by date is 2030.

The batteries, unlike many I have purchased recently, have a 10 year expiration date. I will use these up within 2 years, but I have gotten batteries that have expired in a short period of time. So, one should feel free to stock up on this and expect they won't go bad before you use them.

I do think RS batteries are some of the best in the world. However, something I’ve never noticed before has caught my attention. The AA batteries I bought are quite a big larger in diameter than most other batteries. I found this out while I was trying to put these batteries in my Mini Maglite flashlight. Due to the size of the batteries (diameter-wise) these batteries cannot be used in these flashlights ( of which I have several). This also concerns me in using them in other small electronics.

I would like to be able to review this, but it never showed up. The package arrived with the other items in my order, but not the 60 pack of AA's. I called customer service and was promised a return call after he talked to a supervisor. No contact since. I will not buy from RadioShack. Com. Until I receive the rest of my order or a refund.

This 60 AA Battery package is perfect to make one 90-volt "B" battery (90 x 1.5 Volts = 90 Volts) as used in antique Farm Radios during the 1930s through the 1950s. These Radio Shack Alkaline batteries are exactly the same size as the original dry batteries, but they last MUCH longer.
