diskAshur M2: iStorage's smallest, lightest, fastest, and most rugged FIPS compliant encrypted portable SSD
Secure and encrypt your data with the diskAshur M2 USB 3 256-Bit Encrypted External SSD from iStorage. Utilizing 256-bit AES-XTS encryption and incorporating the most advanced security attributes that iStorage is renowned for, this 2TB external SSD also features a rugged aluminum design with an IP68 rating and a durable, wear-resistant keypad.
Plus, it has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Micro-B connector and is capable of read and write speeds up to 370 MB/s. The diskAshur M.2 comes with a protective sleeve and carry case, along with USB Type-A and C cables that allow this drive to work with a wide range of devices including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, Chrome and more.
Easy to Use
Simply enter a 7-15 digit PIN to authenticate and use as a normal portable SSD. When the drive is disconnected, all data is encrypted using AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption with no software required.
Tamper-Evident Design
All data stored on the diskAshur M2 is encrypted using FIPS PUB 197 validated, AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption. All components incorporated within the diskAshur M2 are completely covered by a layer of tough epoxy resin, causing permanent damage to the components in the event of attempted removal. The drive is also designed to be tamper-evident, making it obvious to the User if it has been pried open and tampered with.
Rugged Build
The diskAshur M2 is built for rugged protection, surviving a drop of up to 13' onto a concrete surface. It is also crushproof, withstanding the weight of a 2.7 ton vehicle.
Ingress Protection
The drive's IP68 rating means it will survive being submerged under 4.9' of water for 30 minutes while also withstanding dust, dirt, and sand.
Slim Design
Lightweight and smaller than the size of a phone, the slim design makes the diskAshur M2 ultra-portable. With the protective sleeve, this drive weighs 3 ounces, or 2.3 ounces without.
Wear-Resistant Keypad
The onboard keypad is covered with a polymer coating that protects the keys and hides key usage, preventing commonly used keys from tipping off a potential hacker.
Independent User and Admin PINs
Independent User and Admin PINs make this drive ideal for corporate and government deployment. If the User forgets their PIN, the drive can be unlocked using the Admin PIN. The Administrator can then allow the User to set a new User PIN.
User PIN Enrollment
The Admin can set a restriction policy for the User PIN. This includes setting the minimum length of the PIN, as well as requiring the input of one or more special characters. Special characters are selected by pressing the SHIFT and digit keys.
Transfer in Seconds
The diskAshur is capable of read and write speeds up to 370 MB/s.
One-Time User Recovery PIN
Admin configurable, the one-time User recovery PIN is useful in situations where a User has forgotten their PIN, allowing the User to unlock the device and set a new User PIN.
Secure Microprocessor
Enhances security through true random number generation and built-in cryptography. The data encryption key is protected by FIPS and Common Criteria validated wrapping algorithms. Offers ultimate security against hackers, detecting and responding to tampering with features such as dedicated hardware for protection against SPA, DPA, SEMA, and DEMA attacks; advanced protection against physical attacks, including Active Shield, Enhance Protection Object, CStack checker, Slope Detector, and Parity Errors; Environmental Protection Systems protecting against voltage monitor, frequency monitor, temperature monitor and light protection; and Secure Memory Management/Access Protection.
Read Only (Write Protect) - Dual Mode
Both the Admin and User can configure the diskAshur M2 as a read only (write protect) drive. If configured by the Admin, the drive cannot be modified or disabled by the User, allowing the Admin to pre-provision a drive with pre-loaded content as read-only for the User.
OS and Host Independent
No software is required; the drive will work on any device with a USB port, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and Chrome devices, thin Clients, zero clients, embedded systems, and virtual clients including Citrix and VMware. USB Micro-B to Type-A and C cables are included.
Bootable Feature
Install an OS on the diskAshur M2 and boot directly from it.
Brute Force Hack Defense
If the User PIN is entered incorrectly 10 consecutive times, the User PIN will be deleted, and the drive can only be accessed by entering the Admin PIN or One-time User recovery PIN. The Admin can set the number of incorrect PIN entries from 1 to 9, for the User only. If the Admin PIN is entered incorrectly 10 consecutive times, all data, PINs, and the encrypted encryption key will be lost forever.
Auto Lock
Automatically locks when unplugged from the host computer or when power to the USB port is turned off. It can also be set to automatically lock after a predetermined amount of time.
Self-Destruct Feature
Pre-program the diskAshur M2 with a self-destruct PIN. Once entered, this causes the data, encrypted encryption key, and all PINs to be deleted, rendering the contents of the drive irretrievable.
Device Reset Feature
Deletes the encrypted encryption key and all PINs, rendering all data as lost forever. The drive can then be redeployed which randomly generates a new encrypted encryption key. This process can be repeated as many times as required.
Whitelisting on Networks
Configured with a unique VID/PID and internal and external serial number with a barcode, this drive easily integrates into standard end-point management software (white-listing) to meet internal corporate requirements.

90-Day Limited Warranty
RadioShack Online OpCo LLC (hereafter “RadioShack”) warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use by the original purchaser for ninety (90) days after the date of purchase from a RadioShack-owned store, RadioShack.com, or an authorized RadioShack franchisee or dealer. RADIOSHACK MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to abuse, misuse, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, accident, Acts of God (such as floods or lightning), or excess voltage or current; (b) improper or incorrectly performed repairs by persons who are not a RadioShack-authorized service facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) ordinary wear and tear or cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service, adjustment or reinstallation; and (g) claims by persons other than the original purchaser.
Should a problem occur that is covered by this warranty, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to the original purchase location or visit www.radioshack.com/warranty. RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law (a) replace the product with the same or comparable product, or (b) refund the purchase price. All replaced products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of RadioShack.
