RadioShack Is Going To CES!

This is post 1 of 27 in the CES 2013 series

It’s January, and in the tech industry, that means it’s time for everyone to head out to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the International Consumer Electronics Show, also known as CES. This is one of the biggest industry shows in the world, much less the United States, and we fully expect to be blown away with all of the new technology – from super-thin smart TVs to smartphones with ginormous screens and everything in between. Last year, Paige and I went with our friends at Gizmodo, and used an Apple iPad 2 as our camera, with a special setup that allowed us to use microphones to capture the best sound. You can see the full setup here:

This year, we’re planning to be even MORE mobile – we’ll be using the Samsung Galaxy S III as our camera, and using the iRig PRE to allow us to connect a wireless microphone to the phone. We’ll also be staying powered up with the iSound portable power pack, along with a couple of Enercell Portable Power banks, for good measure.

We’ll be uploading videos throughout the show, straight from the floor, so you’ll want to make sure you visit techspecs often to stay up to speed. You can also follow us on Twitter at @RadioShack, and we’ll be posting photos from the showfloor on RadioShack’s Instagram account, as well.

You can check out all the cool exhibitors at CES on the official website.

We want your help in finding cool things to see at CES – leave a comment below and let us know what YOU want to see us cover!

We’ll pick 5 random commenters to get an Enercell Portable Power bank, so you can stay powered up no matter where you are.

One comment/entry per person. To enter, leave a comment below, telling us what YOU’d like to see from the International CES. Contest begins at 3:00 pm CST on January 4th, 2013 and ends at 5:00 pm CST on January 11th, 2013. Winner will be chosen randomly by RadioShack and announced after 12:00 pm CST on January 15th, 2013. Winners will each receive 1 Enercell Portable Power bank. No substitutions for prizes.

No payment or purchase necessary to win. Neither a purchase nor payment will improve your chances of winning. While you’re pretty cool in our book, you are not a winner of this contest yet. Void where prohibited. Must be a resident of the 50 United States to win. Employees of RadioShack and their families are ineligible.

UPDATE: We’ve chosen our winners! Congratulations to Theresa J, Sharon, Pete, Ria, and Michelle!
