Today is an exciting day at RadioShack – the HTC One X for AT&T is now available at your local RadioShack! This smartphone packs a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor that most reviewers have said is the fastest and most battery efficient processor on the block. It’s also running the latest version of Android, v4.0 (also called Ice Cream Sandwich) and features HTC’s new Sense v4.0 user interface.
The One X features an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with ‘ImageSense’, a new feature from HTC. This allows the camera app to launch in about a second, and also enables ‘continuous shooting’, which means you can hold the shutter button as long as you want and the phone will just keep snapping photos. It’s a great way to make sure you got the best shot, especially when snapping photos of things in action.
There’s plenty more to be excited about, including the built-in Beats Audio technology, for superior sound. To help you experience this, RadioShack, HTC, and Coldplay have teamed up to offer you 7 FREE Coldplay downloads whenever you purchase the HTC One X from RadioShack, through 6/30/2012. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks for shopping at RadioShack, now go rock out.”
At RadioShack, we like to show you how we use our own products to capture cool videos and photos to share with you. So I’m going to be using the HTC One X to cover CTIA Wireless in New Orleans, Louisiana, starting Monday, May 7th. I’ll be using the phone to snap photos from the showfloor, with plenty of videos and tweets along the way. You can follow @RadioShackLIVE on Twitter, and be sure to follow RadioShack on Instagram, as I’ll be sharing tons of photos there. We’ll also upload all of the photos – raw and unedited – to the RadioShack Facebook Page, too, and post the videos to the RadioShack YouTube account.
Don’t take our word for it, though. Mashable says “The HTC One X may be the best Android phone ever“, while Gizmodo agrees it’s “the best Android phone right now.” Engadget‘s Myriam Joire gushes “There’s absolutely no doubt that the One X is a masterpiece of an Android device“, and the gang at The Verge confirms that “ImageSense turns out to be a stellar software experience.”
MobileBurn calls the HTC One X ‘an LTE-capable blast‘, while guys at IntoMobile confess, “I don’t care what you call it, I found it to be stunning when I first took it out of the box.” Taylor at AndroidandMe believes that “This is the smartphone camera [he has] always wanted” and AndroidCentral says, “LTE data is fast, and battery life (without being connected to LTE anyway) is the best we’ve seen on an Android smartphone to date.”
You can use the RadioShack Store Locator to find a store near you, and don’t forget to bring your old phone with you, so you can take advantage of our Trade and Save program to get INSTANT savings on your new HTC One X. You can also shop confidently, knowing RadioShack’s Mobile Low Price Guarantee has you covered. You’ll also get access to our FREE Mobile Product Support – the team there has been trained on the One X and is ready to help you get the most out of your new phone.
