SXSW 2012 Day Two Recap

This is post 2 of 5 in the SXSW 2012 series

With a 100% chance of rain on day two of SXSW Interactive, it was a challenge staying dry, but it was not short on fun, interesting panels and of course, lots and lots of rain! One item that was missing from our list of products on the SXSW Survival Guide was an umbrella.  It has been a must-have during the first few days here in Austin and you would not want to be walking from event to event without one.

The rain has allowed for several interesting pictures. One app that is one of my personal favorites is Instagram.  During SXSW I have been able to share some of these great pictures through Instagram on Twitter @RadioShackLIVE.  Using the different filters, you can adjust the image to be darker or lighter, choose borders and crop images to fit your style. Once, you have adjusted the picture to your liking the app allows for you to share to Facebook, Twitter or email.

The last thing I want to happen is to be unable to share these photos because my phone is dead! That is why I have had the Enercell Portable Power bank with me wherever I go. This has allowed me to stay charged throughout the long day going from event to event. While I was walking on the streets of Austin, I was able to charge my phone with no outlet in sight.

Ricky and I will be at SXSW through Monday the 12th, and all of our coverage will be here on The Shack Blog, as well as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  Follow us there and be sure to check back for all the action!

What is your favorite photography app that you use to share pictures with friends? Leave a comment below and we will randomly choose one person to get an awesome prize.

One comment/entry per person. Contest begins at 2:00 pm CST on March 11, 2012 and ends at 1:59 pm CST on March 13, 2012. Winner will be chosen randomly by RadioShack and announced after 2:00 pm CST on March 14, 2012.

No payment or purchase necessary to win. Neither a purchase nor payment will improve your chances of winning. While you’re pretty cool in our book, you are not a winner of this contest yet. Void where prohibited. Must be a resident of the 50 United States to win.

Updated 3/14/12: Thanks to everyone for commenting! Congrats to Marilyn on being the winner!

I use Flickr. My daughter uses Instagram and she loves it. She can turn a boring photo into something quite stunning. I am always amazed.

I use Instagram. I love the ability to tweak my photos using the custom filters. I take pretty ordinary pics and they look pretty snazzy after a little work in Instagram. Plus posting is a snap.

Thanks again for the cool giveaway!
