#Holla4Lolla Volunteer Interviews

This is post 5 of 7 in the Lollapalooza 2011 series

It takes a special crowd of people to make a festival as big as Lollapalooza a success, and a great many of those folks are volunteers. To get the scoop on this cool position, Mike interviewed Ashley and Mike – both volunteering at Lollapalooza 2011.

Here’s the interview with Ashley – she’s been volunteering with Lollapalooza since 2009!

Here’s the interview with Mike – this was his first year, but he’s obviously pretty excited!

What would you do for the opportunity to volunteer at Lollapalooza? Leave a comment below and we’ll pick 5 winners to get a sweet prize pack to help them #Holla4Lolla!

UPDATE: Thanks for all the great comments! Our winners have been chosen, but be sure to check back on The Shack Blog for more cool stuff including contests like this one.

I went to Lolla in ’09 and it was an amazing experience! I really want to go to this year considering the sweet lineup, but couldn’t get out of work this year. I’d do just about do anything to volunteer. I’d enter a deep dish pizza eating contest, run down Lake Shore Drive screaming, “HOLLA FOR LOLLA!!!”, paint “#holla4lolla” on my car – you name it, I’m game!

  • Sarina

    really wantED to go*

  • Martie

I’d swim with jellyfish; go on a camping trip with my 10 (crazy) siblings AND; I’d eat a klondike bar. Oh, the myriad of possible things I’d do to volunteer at Lollapalooza! You just name it, Radioshack! #holla4lolla

  • Omar Guzman

I Will name my unborn child Shack.

  • Ivan

Man I wish I could be at #LOLLA! I would put body paint on my chest–on the front of my hairy chest it would say #HOLLA and on my back it would say 4LOLLA! Then, I would then begin to make my way to the Golden Gate Bridge and start running across the bridge showing off my #Holla4LOLLA Body tag in front of thousands of tourists and passerby’s alike. I might cause a little havoc and there might be a traffic jam or two, but hey…it would be all worth it in the end to volunteer at #LOLLA. #HOLLA4LOLLA!

What would I do to volunteer? I’d tattoo “HOLLA4LOLLA” across my back, then run around shirtless for everyone to see :-)

  • Kelcie

I’d be the most dedicated volunteer! I’d be the one setting up all day in the days prior to the big event. I’d take off work for the whole week just to say I had a part in Lollapalooza.

  • Caleb Teo

To volunteer at Lollapalooza? I’d walk thousands of miles just to get there, I’d slay a dragon, I’d buy from radio shack a few times along the way, I’d ring every door bell and tell them I’m going to be a lollapalooza volunteer. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do! Love that event a lot!

  • Cole

I would do ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I love lollapalooza and radio shack!!!

  • Sonia Gomez

I will let you use my husband To help the organizers clean up after the day events, for the whole weekend.

I would do an acronym rap for the word lollapalooza and post it on YouTube for the whole world to see!

  • Jennifer

I would pay for my own plane ticket just to be there and won’t tell my bf where I am for a few days haha. I’ll just tell him I’m volunteering at #LOLLA (I hope he understands) :P

  • Tiffany

I would eat hot sauce on everything for a whole year for a chance of volunteering at Lolla. I’d even lick a fat guy’s belly button. [EWW] That’s love! #Holla4Lolla
