The Shack Teams Up With T-Mobile For Smartphone Launches

This is a big day at RadioShack, as we’re launching several new smartphones for T-Mobile. As of this week, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, Nokia Astound and LG G2x are all available at your local RadioShack store. Each of these hot new smartphones has a cool feature that sets it apart from the others.

If messaging is your kick, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G brings a whole new experience to this much-loved Sidekick family of phones. It still has the cool swivel screen and awesome full QWERTY keyboard, but now you can also take advantage of T-Mobile’s fast 4G network for smooth video calling and streaming music. The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G also features the Android operating system with full Google services integration and the awesome Android Marketplace, where you can find thousands of apps and games to keep you entertained.

If speed is your thing, the LG G2x for T-Mobile is a powerful smartphone that packs a punch with its dual-core Tegra processor and whopping 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture. This sweet smartphone also features a front-facing camera for video calling on T-Mobile’s new 4G network. Speaking of 4G, the LG G2x also comes with T-Mobile TV pre-installed, which uses T-Mobile’s 4G network to let you watch live TV on-the-go. The G2x’s large 4-inch display is perfect for watching videos or recording your own, too.

If you love photography, don’t forget to check out the Nokia Astound for T-Mobile, which sports an 8-megapixel camera with HD video capture. The Nokia Astound is also a great music phone, with Slacker Personal Radio pre-installed and an awesome music player. Nokia’s Ovi Store on the Astound gives you quick access to thousands of apps, and the phone comes with Swype pre-installed for easy texting. You can check out our hands-on video of the Nokia Astound, or click here for a closer look at the phone’s features.

If you’ve already got a T-Mobile phone (or unlocked GSM phone) and just need service, we can take care of that, too. Bring your old phone to your local RadioShack store and ask about the new T-Mobile SIM-only prepaid activation kit. No need to buy a new phone, just get the SIM card and pick your plan, it’s as easy as that!

Which do you think is the hottest new T-Mobile phone? The Sidekick 4G, LG G2x, or the Nokia Astound?
